Combining a relaxing Thames cruise with some seriously fun clay shooting training & competition on a historic Thames Sailing Barge makes for a most unusual and memorable day. Topsail has teamed up with top shooters Pursuits & Pastimes for this event. The clay pigeon shooting instructors are entertaining and skilled; the catering, boat and event itinerary are also top-class to make for one of the most exciting events in London - ideal for corporate incentives, client entertaining and hospitality. An extra highlight of the day will be the opening of Tower Bridge as the barge passes underneath! Topsail’s clay pigeon shooting cruise usually begins in the Pool of London, from London Bridge City Pier or Tower Pier. The initial cruise takes guests past the Royal Naval College, Cutty Sark and Millennium Dome at Greenwich, then through the Thames Barrier until we reach the shooting destination at Thamesmead where the ship moors up to a buoy and shooting begins.Should your group prefer a different itinerary, we can tailor this package to suit your requirements. For a shortened cruise it is also possible for guests to embark at Canary Wharf or Thames Barrier Gardens Pier (adjacent to the Thames Barrier). | Itinerary | | 10:00 | Guests board the barge at Butlers Wharf Pier and are welcomed on board with coffee and pastries | | 10:15 | Following a safety briefing, the barge sets off down river passing Canary Wharf, Greenwich, the Millennium Dome and the Thames Barrier on route | | 12:15 | Arriving at the shooting site, just beyond the Thames Barrier, the barge is moored to a buoy and the shooting instructor takes the stage | | 12:30 | The clays go up and the shooting begins | | 13:30 | A buffet lunch is served in saloon | | 15:00 | The shooting competition comes to a head and the top scorers play-off to see who is the overall winner |
