Topsail is pleased to offer a tutored wine tasting event of the major grape varieties in conjunction with The Wine & Food Academy. Guests board one of our beautiful vessels, and the tutored tasting begins with six tasting glasses laid out for each guest, for tasting the six major grape varieties (e.g. Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot etc). Our talented hosts then illustrate how to taste wines and what people should be looking for when evaluating a wine; this session is extremely interactive. Guests will be contributing greatly to the flow of discussion, finding it stimulating and fun and creating a real buzz! Towards the end of the wine tasting event an element of competition will be introduced. Guests are asked to write down a particularly flowery description of the wine of their choice; the best one judged by the host, will win a bottle of Champagne. The tasting will be followed by a delicious meal served by our top caterers. Finally you will drink your last toast of the day as you pass through Tower Bridge as it is opened specially for you (depending on your vessel).
