Oyster specialists The Whitstable Shellfish Company have teamed up with Topsail to create a new and exciting opportunity for entertaining on the Thames.  A great idea for oyster lovers or those looking for an unusual and entertaining option as part of their cruise; you will be able to taste a variety of different oysters all professionally prepared.  With a selection of delicious oysters and the opportunity to learn oyster shucking from the experts, this fun cruise will delight your guests.

The Whitstable Shellfish Company is included in Rick Stein’s Food Heroes directory; a directory which, says Stein, “gives you a taste of many of the producers of excellent food that I have discovered. These are my Food Heroes who are the stars of the TV series and books.” Offering Scottish Rock oysters from the west coast of Scotland, available all year and transported live, and Whitstable Native oysters, harvested from wild beds in Whitstable Bay from September to April. Scottish oysters taste fresh and salty with a hint of cucumber, while the Natives have a mineral taste not unlike rusty nails! Connoisseurs always go for the Natives…

Cruising on board a beautiful ship you can enjoy the added bonus of Tower Bridge opening especially for you as you pass underneath.  The vessel offers a cosy and inviting saloon suitable for all year round entertaining that will create an event with a difference.  Topsail also offers a range of additional menu choices served to complement the oysters.
