A static pirate party aboard breathtaking Tudor Galleon Golden Hinde - moored at St Mary Overie Docks in London, right by the Thames - is available year round and costs from £58 + VAT per head in summer (based on 100 guests) and from £68 + VAT per head in winter (based on 70 guests), including finger buffet and half a bottle of wine per head. Your chosen boat will be decked with tropical palm trees, bountiful treasure chests spilling over with gold coins, flags, barrels, skeletons, parrots and a hanging pirate! Fantastic food options include a delicious buffet, copious canapés, or a seated banquet, to be washed down with rum punch, mulled wine or beer. For extra entertainment we can offer a shanty band, stilt walkers, parrot vodka luge or a special pirate Murder Mystery: ‘Pieces of Eyot’: A coded treasure hunt….a daring trip into the past….a pirate adventure! Pieces of Eyot is a two or three actor Comedy Murder Mystery that will take place over dinner. The idea is to solve a murder mystery and, at the same time, discover where four hundred year old treasure lies buried to this very day. Our host is a historian who has been searching for the treasure for over ten years. A couple of years ago, his colleague, a university professor, telephoned the historian to say he had made a dramatic discovery and knew where the treasure lay. He was on his way over. Sadly, he never made it. He was murdered on his way, just making it as far as his colleague’s front door before collapsing. There was no clue as to who his killer might have been or what he had discovered. However, he had managed to deposit certain charts and documents before he died. He had also left, in blood, a coded message on the historian’s front door. Our host has gathered a couple of actors to play out the story to date. We also require performances from some of the audience (we supply the costumes). The comedy comes from the fact that audience members play the parts of one-legged pirates, customs officers and, possibly, even a parrot in order to tell the tale. The teams study the charts, documents and performed evidence to work out whodunit and, consequently, the location of the treasure.
