Topsail has joined up with Marylebone’s renowned Tuscan cookery school, La Cucina Caldesi, to bring an exciting new event to London: cookery parties onboard our historic ships. The Caldesis – Giancarlo and Katie - run Caffe Caldesi, Caldesi Restaurant and their Italian Cookery School La Cucina Caldesi and have a wealth of experience along with Giancarlo’s passion for his native Tuscany. This event can be a full or half day, and tailored to your requirements – we have many options and are always open to ideas and suggestions to make your event memorable. The day can be a straightforward lesson or can be a team building session with blind tasting – and always with an element of fun! Options include a hands-on Pastamaking Masterclass with Giancarlo Caldesi (guests will be taught how to make pasta from scratch; they will roll, cut and stuff it and learn which sauces suit which shapes of pasta), anti pasti, or fish & seafood to tie in with the nautical theme. Guests board one of our beautiful barges at a pier in the city, cruising east, with the finale of the day being Tower Bridge opening just for the group. Welcomed onboard with a reception drink, guests will soak in the sights of London from the river before heading down into the saloon for a day of creative cooking, ending with a delicious meal guests have helped to produce. The event can also be held static at the quayside in stunning St Katharine Docks. Please note this event is for private/corporate charters and not for individuals. Prices start from around £100 + VAT per head for a static event at the quayside in St Katharine Docks (depending on numbers), more for a cruise.
