Liverpool Hospitality - Tall Ships Race 2008

The great Port of Liverpool is preparing to welcome a spectacular fleet to the City as it celebrates 2008 as European Capital of Culture. 18-21 July will see many wonderful ships and boats gather for the start of the Tall Ships Race from a port which is in full celebration of its own great maritime past.

Liverpool is undergoing a programme of regeneration as never seen before in preparation for its big year as Capital of Culture and the historic waterfront where the Tall Ships will make their Port Visit is at the centre of this impressive buzz of activity. Before the ships race their way to their next port of call with their youth trainee crews, 1 million visitors are expected to join them in 4 days of celebration and entertainment around these famous docks.

The City of Liverpool in association with The Liverpool Culture Company and Topsail Events would like to make these beautiful ships available for charter to companies and organisations based or visiting Liverpool for this very special occasion. This work is most valuable to the ships which themselves make excellent venues for corporate entertaining and promotion based both on the quay or out on the Mersey.

The Liverpool Culture Company has appointed Topsail Events as Official Supplier for hospitality on board the Tall Ships which make for magnificent quayside and sailing entertainment venues.
